Moraitis Group, a fresh produce wholesaler, turned to Microsoft’s mid-market Navision product when it pulled the plug on a disastrous, five year project that aimed to bolt manufacturing and distribution resourse planning onto its accounting package. Moraitis urgently wanted to add e-commerce capabilities, says chief information officer Con Colovos. It desperately needed better inventory management and control, and better visibility through better reporting, he said. Colovos evaluated a series of products, including Microsoft Axapta, SAP All-in-One and distribution software called ASW from Danish software house IBS. Moraitis chose Navison because of its flexibility and strength of support services. Moraitis selected Microsoft Business Solution partner for one reason: “Dialog was the only company that listened to us; that asked us what we wanted.” |
