Interwoven, Inc.today announced that it is responding to rapidly increasing demand for its high-end Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions with an expanded channel program. Dialog, one of Australia's leading technology services organizations, is the first partner to be signed. Dialog Selected as new Australian Partner for Interwoven’s high-end ECM Solution Sydney, Australia – June 21, 2004 – Interwoven, Inc. (Nasdaq: IWOV), today announced that it is responding to rapidly increasing demand for its high-end Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions with an expanded channel program. Dialog, one of Australia's leading technology services organizations, is the first of several partners to be signed. Interwoven has traditionally taken the direct sales route with its popular Web Content Management solution, TeamSite, which provides the foundation for enterprises implementing Web Content Management for powering Internet, extranet, and intranet properties, selling to such large organizations as Qantas and AMP. However, with the enormous potential of the Enterprise Content Management space, predicted by META Group to reach $2.3B in software and $7.0B in services by 2007, the company is looking to establish a channel to be the focal point of strenuous efforts to win more business throughout the region and build on the successes achieved in Q1. “ECM is now on the verge of a boom,” states John Brand, vice president, technology research services at META Group in a recent report, in which he also urges that companies establish, communicate and commit to an enterprise content management (ECM) strategy with the next 18-24 months. “We would certainly agree with META’s comments,” said Andrew Antal, alliances and marketing director at Interwoven. “Since our recent acquisition of iManage and their collaboration product WorkSite which is entirely channel fulfilled, we have been gradually moving to a channel strategy for our higher end Interwoven product to better meet the demand and service required. Our traditional TeamSite product which is positioned at the higher end of the ECM spectrum will now increasingly be sold by channel partners that have proven expertise in sales and support.” Dialog’s excellent reputation in service and support and the company’s high profile in the corporate and government sectors were key reasons for Interwoven’s interest in a partnership agreement. “We have been operating in Australia for over 25 years and are recognized as the largest privately owned integration & services delivery company in Australia, with over 450 staff,” commented Neill Hills-Johnes, NSW Manager at Dialog. “Our larger customers have been pressing us for a best of breed ECM system. With Interwoven’s successful installations in such companies as Qantas, Sony and the larger government departments where TeamSite is the product of choice, Interwoven is the perfect partner for us. It also compliments our existing expertise in TRIM Document Management Systems.” Dialog is already celebrating its first success, having secured a large NSW government department as its first TeamSite customer. |
