Press Release from AGIMO 14 April 2005 Special Minister of State, Senator Eric Abetz, today announced an upgrade of the australia.gov.au website to improve its functionality and user appeal. An open tender for the redesign was won by Dialog Pty Ltd. The company began work on the website in early April. “Australia is a world leader and innovator in e-government,” the Minister said. “We want the users of whole-of-government websites to have an informative and intuitive experience.” Beyond the functionality and user appeal redesign, Dialog will be reviewing the structure of the site and its relationship with other whole-of-government websites and Australian Government information portals. “As the entry point to government, australia.gov.au is making it easy for citizens and business to get access to the broad range of government information and services. “The site redesign, combined with the new search service I recently announced, is making access to government information and services easier. “The ongoing upgrades to australia.gov.au are evidence of the Government’s commitment to continuous improvement in government service delivery and information management,” the Minister said.Dialog is an Australian company with a proven record in designing state and Australian Government websites. |
