Organisational Change Management

Dialog recognises that the implementation of a new system often represents a significant opportunity to bring about more efficient processing in key areas of an organisation’s business in addition to the benefits delivered by the new system itself. Organisational Change Management and System Deployment are the two major streams of System Implementation. In many larger enterprises these each become major projects in their own right with their own Project Management and team members from many disciplines.

Organisational change affects different stakeholders throughout the enterprise in different ways and to a greater or lesser extent. People tend to respond to change in a wide variety of ways – some embrace change and may welcome the need to learn new skills while others may fear for their jobs. To maximise the benefits of deploying a new application the impact on business processes, the new skills required and the different abilities to accommodate the change must be considered.

One methodology which Dialog Organisational Change Managers use to manage individual change is the ADKAR model. The ADKAR model, shown below, describes the key building blocks needed to be present to enable successful organisational change.

In resolving these issues Dialog’s consultants identify and describe all the changes that will occur, identify all stakeholders and develop an implementation strategy including plans for action, communications, training and resistance management. Continuous review and assessment of the effectiveness of these plans throughout the process and agreement with stakeholders about appropriate action paves the way for successful Organisational Change Management.

Training is an important aspect of any organisational change.

Dialog has extensive expertise in Instructional Design which comply with Australian Quality Training Framework Guidelines.

Dialog can undertake a  Training Needs Analysis, develop the content and deliver the training. Dialog has worked with several leading Learning Management Systems, produced training videos and developed software simulations for training purposes.
